I. You Will Bloom

Gentle reminders as we embark on this new day and week:

You get one life, do not let people put you in a box you do not belong in.
May you no longer feel bad, fearful, or regretful for doing what’s best for you.
Be kind to yourself, today — even if you’re not able to show up as your best self. Even if you don’t get everything done.
No one recognizes a seed in the ground except for the person who planted it. You will bloom.

II. The Leadership Playbook

As great athletes seek out great coaches, the best people want to work for leaders who coach them to reach their full potential. A successful leader must be a good coach.

But what do good coaches do? The Harvard Business Review developed the acronym COACH to describe how today’s leaders should work with people.

As a coaching leader, you need to:

Care for your teammates to build understanding and trust.
Organize them into their “sweet spot,” which comes down to understanding your team’s strengths, weaknesses, motivations, and desires.
Align them around the organization’s vision, purpose, and values.
Challenge them to reach their full potential while summoning people’s best.
Help solve problems and celebrate success.

III. Be A Good Person

Hold the door for others and pick up trash that's not yours.
Compliment people behind their backs and encourage people when they're down.
Include people when they feel left out and hold yourself to a high standard.
Share your life with people you love and admit when you are wrong.
Celebrate others when they succeed and stand up for people that can't stand up for themselves.
Have the courage to say no to things that could jeopardize your future. Realize doing the right things for the right reasons will never go out of style.
Be a good person.
