Write of Passage Weekly - What’s Getting In Their Way?

Hi there,

When asked how school is going, how many teens emphatically respond with, “Excellent! I’m challenged in all the right ways. I even feel seen”? If only. More than likely you’ll get the standard, “It’s fine. It’s school. What do you expect?

Dissatisfaction with education is rampant. Shocking. The industry hasn’t changed much in over 100 years. Imagine if we drove cars from 100 years ago and wondered why they sputtered along and steered clear of the fast lane.

Listen, it’s not the school’s fault, but that doesn’t mean we have to settle.

The current system only exposes students to those in their neighborhood. There’s an entire world out there. Imagine if we broke open the walls of the schoolhouse and showed our teens how many like-minded people, their age, were at their fingertips.

In Write of Passage, I’ve spent four years teaching adults how writing online can alter their trajectory. If writing can do this for adults, it can absolutely do it for young people.

I'm confident writing online will...

  • Help your teen write better, think better, and speak better.
  • Increase the odds of your teen getting into the college of their choice.
  • Introduce your teen to kids their age with similar interests, all over the world.
  • Empower your teen to lean into their passions and realize their potential.

Add up the results from writing online and you’ll alter your child’s trajectory for a lifetime. Given the choice between the status quo and the momentum to fly, who wouldn’t choose to take flight?

If you attended last week's webinar on how to unleash your teen’s potential, we hope you found it informative and inspiring. If you missed it, you can watch the recording here:

Liftoff upends the traditional education system. Our first Beta cohort begins on November 29th and runs for four weeks.

If your teen is ready to take flight (and we think they are), they’re encouraged to apply.

Cheers,

David
