Issue 244 - FSD Beta now open to everyone in North America

Software updates

Tesla Full Self-Driving Beta open to anyone in North America
If you were one of those waiting to purchase or get FSD Beta, Elon announced on Twitter this week that FSD Beta is now available to anyone who purchased the option and requests it from the app screen. If you are considering subscribing/purchasing it, there is a gotcha, if your car is in a version greater than 2022.36.20, you will have to wait until the next release, so it may not be worth purchasing it until that is already out.

Tesla improves auto high beam lights in update 2022.40
I personally think the auto high beams have been working okay for quite some time, but I've seen many reports of folks who don't agree with me.After 2022.40 went out, many folks (including European owners that are usually more conservative about the use of high beams) are now reporting really good improvements.

Tesla Mobile App

New version of the Tesla mobile app 📷
In the new app version, you can see the release notes directly from your smartphone as well as see the live cameras directly from the main menu.

Live interior camera viewing coming to Tesla App
Some more improvements in the new version of the app are:
  • Live interior camera viewing
  • Remote farting
  • Remote boombox
  • Setting a climate temp for co-pilot

Charging

Tesla lowers Supercharger rates in California, Florida, and other states, as well as some European countries ðŸ“·
Not that long ago Tesla raised their Supercharger rates in several countries. This week, Tesla lowered Supercharger fees at some stations in several states across the USA and Europe, some as much as  $0.05 per kWh.

Tesla's J1772 wall connector now available at Best Buy ðŸ“·
If there is a testament to the adoption of EVs is Best Buy offering EV chargers on their website. This isn't the first time but it is the first time that they offer Tesla's wall connector.

Semi & Model 3

Tesla Semi is a beast
The first deliveries are happening today (Dec. 1st), and that is exciting! It is also exciting that they just completed a 500-mile drive with a Tesla Semi weighing in at 81,000 lbs.

Tesla developing revamped Model 3 under 'Project Highland'
It is just a matter of time until Tesla brings all the production improvements to the Model 3.

🤓 What the acronym

As a Tesla fan, I find myself sometimes having to remember what are all those acronyms, here is a list of the ones you can find in this issue.
  • EV - Electric Vehicle
  • FSD - Full Self-Driving
