Today we’re listening to Pole, an electronic music project from German musician Stefan Betke. Born in Düsseldorf, he got into punk and avant-garde music and played keyboard in bands as a teenager.¹ Since 2001 he’s released a dozen LPs under the name Pole, many categorized as dubtronica. We’re first playing his latest, Tempus, which came out a few weeks ago, which makes for great minor-key focus music. We’re also playing 3, the third part of a 2008 trilogy, which consists of minimalist, babbling dub tracks. Tempus - Pole (40m, no vocals) 3 - Pole (80m, faraway vocal samples on a few tracks) Have a fantastic weekend. 1 via 15 Questions |
