Hi , happy Friday!

There is often a mad dash around this time of year. A time squeeze. Timelines we’ve made up in our heads. “I must finish [insert project here] before January 1.” I caught myself in this mental tailspin over the most trivial thing recently — reaching my Goodreads reading challenge for 2022. “I’m so close! I need to read 6 more books before January!” After stressing about it for half a minute, I stopped when I realized how ridiculous this all was. Why am I putting so much pressure on something meant to be joyful and leisurely?

Let’s breathe a little, recognize that urgency doesn’t exist, let go of deadlines we’ve made up in our ends, and end the year soft, instead of strong.

Wishing you a calm and happy holiday season,

Alisha

P.S. Here’s to hoping you’ve seen our gift guides? My personal, sneaky favorite: gifts for yourself. 😉

This Week's Picks

This week's Sponsor:

Not-your-grandma’s frozen pizza. Unless your nonna lives in Naples and makes amazing pizza, that is.

Talia di Napoli pizzas are made by hand in Naples by real pizzaioli (pizza chefs trained for up to two years in the art of pizza making, of course), but they ship right to your door in the US. They’re made with ingredients sourced in Italy, and the patented freezing process uses a cryogenic chamber and liquid nitrogen, which allows the pizza to lock in that “fresh out of the wood-fired oven” state without any additives or preservatives. Buon appetito!

A ready-to-eat, mouth-watering pizza is the perfect gift for a host who won’t want to cook the next day, a new mom, or pretty much any busy person you know. They don’t require a fancy oven, delivery, or prep time, so in just about 10 minutes they’ll be transported to Naples.

Ready for authentic Neapolitan pizza? Use code GNI15 for 15% off your first purchase at Talia di Napoli.
