Should Tarot Be Used For Therapy? It can compliment it but it is not suitable to be the only treatment. You do gain a lot of insight from the tarot. There have been many uses, including divination, trading, telling stories, and even getting people out of jail. Is it possible to use it as a proper therapy as well? Is tarot useful for treating depression or anxiety, for example? First, let's discuss depression. Accordance to the National Institute of Mental Health, depression involves feelings of sadness, hopelessness, or worthlessness that last for weeks or months. Depression consistently results in a low mood. Anxiety, also known as worry or fear, is a feeling of unease often accompanied by depression. It's always for a reason, also, says NIMH. Therefore, both depression and anxiety can be helped with tarot cards. It requires self-reflection to read the tarot. It can be highly effective in dealing with mental illnesses through the mediumship of a tarot card reader. You can also greatly help yourself if you read for yourself and learn the tarot. If you are looking for a tarot card reader to help you with your mental health, you want to ensure that they have the qualities you need. To read tarot cards, one must connect with one's subconscious mind and be empathic and open-minded. By understanding your emotions, Tarot card readers can understand why you feel the way you do. When it is okay, the tarot reader reads the cards. Tarot helps your subconscious mind reveal hidden truths you hadn't been able to see before, and this is an essential aspect of it. There may be a lack of self-awareness or an inability to rationalize certain feelings and thoughts. A tarot card reader can also create an open dialogue to understand what's troubling you and what they can do to help. The reader's abilities expand along with yours in tarot card readings as a series of three readings are performed. Mental illnesses do not have a cure, but tarot may be able to offer a short-term solution. It is possible to treat mental conditions such as depression and anxiety with Tarot card readings. It is essential that the reader of tarot cards be knowledgeable about both metaphysics and psychology; metaphysics is necessary because tarot is about seeing beyond what we see, and psychology is necessary because tarot is about understanding the minds of others. Reading tarot cards is similar to counseling sessions because the reader listens, understands, and guides you to clarity. By focusing on listening to what the tarot cards have to say, tarot is also a form of meditation. Mental illnesses can be helped by tarot. In addition to self-reflection, listening, understanding, guidance, meditation, and the ability to predict the future, tarot card reading requires self-reflection. People can use tarot to get through their darkest times with its help. You may be able to benefit from tarot card readings if you are suffering from mental illness, such as depression or anxiety. In addition to the tarot reader’s ability to incorporate metaphysics and psychology into the reading, empathy and an open mind are both qualities that are hard to find in other people. Tarot Cards Are Not A Substitute For Prescriptions And TherapyDespite this, the tarot should never be used as a substitute for therapy or medication. The tarot should never be used alone for poor mental health. It is meant to be used as a complement, not the only form of treatment. Some truths can be uncovered through tarot, but it doesn't make tarot any different from other forms of therapy or psychotherapy. Tarot can help you if you are struggling with mental illness. It's hard to find empathy and an open mind in others, and tarot uses metaphysics and psychology, making it even harder. Learning about the tarot can also be helpful, but if you don't feel up to it, find a tarot reader with the above qualities! As a mental health advocate, I am not a professional.
