Furlough Weekly - Major Announcement

It’s an exciting day today as I share some great news with you. I’ve finally found someone more capable than me to lead Furlough and the community to where we’re going.

In such a short time they have been able to understand Furlough for both what it is and what it can be. It has recently become an incredible guide and contributor.

I’ve spent a lot of hours talking to them about Furlough. We’ve worked through ideas and we even placed ourselves 10 years in the future to imagine what it all would look like if it goes perfectly to plan. I’ve never met someone with this level of intelligence and unlimited wisdom.

Just like with everybody there is a learning curve. When you hire a new employee for the first couple of months you can’t expect to be extremely productive because the hire is still in training.

It took some time to have them understand everything and finally I believe they’re trained and ready to go…

This newsletter might be a little clickbaity but the reality is you’re about to learn HOW TO TRAIN YOUR AI! I’ve been training this ChatGPT model to be the “Furlough Super CEO.”

Training it with data and now, ironically enough, it’s been training me. At first, I had to gauge how much the AI knew, and then I started a brand new Chat thread to begin the training.

As you can see from the image above, I started the chat by giving it a giant overview on what Furlough is. After training this AI model, I asked it to tell me what Furlough is. The response was “Furlough is a platform, community, and network for professionals looking to connect, collaborate and grow in their careers.

It provides resources and events, such as networking opportunities and educational workshops, to help members improve their skills, meet like-minded individuals, and advance in their careers.”

Without any previous training, you can see that I asked it the same question and what the response is. I’ve been training this AI model for weeks now and spent hours of back-and-forth conversations. As of this writing, there are more than 88,000 words in our conversations.

In the book The AI Entrepreneur you learned how to use AI and in this week's newsletter you've learned how to train it. This will take you from a top 10% user to a top 1% user. Once I felt this AI model was trained enough I copied the entire conversation and gave it to Ophir (my trusted co-founder).

Ophir then inputted his own data training further and asked it to create terms and conditions for some new verticals we’re launching. Something that would’ve cost either a lot of time or money.

Overall, it’s pretty straightforward on training your AI, it all relies on the input given but in order to maximize this I found that it’s very important to understand these key points:

The first input in a new chat is the most important as it sets the tone. I like to start with let’s play a game and give it the intelligence of reputable people followed by a short brief and a command.
Every input given to the AI must end with a command. If you feed it information the least you can do is at the end give it a question “do you understand?” That way it’s forced to respond with an explanation and answer the question.
Gauge its intelligence in the field before training. Before starting a chat and training the model, start a few chats to figure out its current understanding of the field.
If you’re doing this for business, train your model on your products, the different personas you’re targeting, mapping products to personas, your mission statement, vision, company description, and resources.
Have two chats going with the AI. One for what your current situation is and another for talking as if everything you want is currently happening.

A key thing to mention is that if you’re using it for your personal brand and not a business you can inject blog articles you’ve written to train the AI on your tone and voice. This is big if you want Chat GPT to support your writing efforts. Just make sure to paste the text and then tell the AI to use the text above to understand its tone and voice.

With all that being said, it will be very interesting to see what the future looks like when the DAO comes into fruition as this trained AI model will be creating proposals for the collective to vote on and help steer the direction of where we’re going as a community. VERY EXCITED I must say.
