To innovate first you need to understand the problem. Art2act has listened to artists and collectors, to facilitate a mutually beneficial relationship between them. 

Art2act's main focus intends to solve the problem of income inconsistency for creators in a traditionally unpredictable web3 art market. Regardless of how you feel towards it, money is an essential piece to how the art market moves. Ignoring this fact will not solve the problem; discussing it will help us find better solutions.

Artists spend hours, days, months, even years working on pieces that may never generate a cent of income for the foreseeable future. We often accept this reality as part of the passion that drives the artist. That passion needs to be fed, literally and figuratively, for the creator to continue to create what they love and what drives them. It can be quite difficult to sustain oneself without any outside validation in the form of moral support or financial support. 

Collectors are the investors in an artist. They want to be sure they are purchasing work from talented, driven artists. What often keeps them from taking the leap (especially in web3) is the unfamiliarity with new emerging artists or even a lack of traditional education/knowledge of the art world. This creates a stalemate. Artists unable to survive and collectors unwilling to take a leap. In the meantime the art withers and begins to fade. 

So how do you bridge that gap?

Art2act has created a subscription model intended to protect collectors and support artists. Creators offer their future NFT works in the form of NFT subscriptions, set the terms and prices and put it for sale in Art2act’s upcoming platform. Collectors and enthusiasts can then choose to fund the creator's proposal, and the artist receives 10% of the final cost upfront to kick off the creative process.

What if the collector doesn’t like it? They can opt to be refunded of remaining funds. But, odds are you’re not going to do that for an exclusive 1/1 from amazing artists.

Art2act is designing a no-coding, self-sovereign subscription platform in Ethereum (Q1 2023) that provides infrastructure to create NFT subscriptions and collections; a Web3 infrastructure layer that facilitates the creation of NFT-based projects giving ownership to its creators. With minimal technical know-how required from the artists and a wide range of configurations to adapt to any needs, all involved will feel taken care of.

This innovative model comes from the partners Tomás Serrano, Gastão Pinto de Oliveira and José Silva. Tomás, who paints as well, worked with refugees and the NGO "Refugees Got Talent" gave him a deep appreciation for the power of art to connect people and create social change. Gastão’s experience in project management, led him to join several artistic projects in the past and was career manager of different Portuguese artists, guiding their artistic evolution. Together with José's years of blockchain experience and high-performance working for projects like NASA's GUSTO mission, they set the stepping stone for what Art2act is becoming.

Art2act started with 2 founders. Now, they build with 12 team members 150 artists as ambassadors and a growing community of artists and collectors. This is just the beginning. 

All because Tomás, Gastão and José decided to listen first and then develop.
