What to know about the charges against Trump

• Tuesday, former President Donald Trump surrendered to authorities after a Manhattan grand jury indicted him on multiple charges related to business fraud. [Vox / Li Zhou]
• Trump pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts of falsifying business records stemming from payments made during his 2016 campaign to silence two women who claimed they had affairs with him. [NBC News / Dareh Gregorian and Adam Reiss]

Finland officially joins NATO

• Finland became the 31st member of NATO Tuesday, in a major blow to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s attempts to constrain the military alliance. [BBC / Paul Kirby and Jonathan Beale]
