Gala token V2, Otherside launching Legends of the Mara, Mega World adds cross-chain dependencies, alpha playtests, and more! -- Play to Earn #172

Welcome to the 172nd edition of the Play to Earn newsletter!

Alphas, updates, and a token reboot are all in the news this week! The new token comes from Gala Games, who plan on replacing their current GALA token with a new, improved version in mid-May.

Alpha releases and playtests are still popping out of the woodwork on a weekly basis. This week we have a new Genesis tournament in Undead Blocks, and Alpha Season Two of Axie Homeland. On the FPS front, the One Tap alpha is currently running, while alpha 2.0 from Citizen Conflict should be landing soon as well.

Mega World adds cross-chain dependencies, linking their game economy across Ethereum, Tron and Binance Chain. And even the Otherside is moving towards releasing a first game for their landowners called Legends of the Mara!

Gala Announces GALA Token V2

On May 15th, Gala Games will launch a new version of the GALA token. Known as GALA v2, this token will completely replace the current token. Current token holders shouldn’t need to do anything as they will receive an airdrop of the new tokens based on a snapshot that will be taken on May 15th. — Read now

Play and Earn with Undead Blocks Genesis Tournament

Kill zombies for fun and profit in the upcoming tournament from Undead Blocks! And though this tournament can only be played with Genesis NFTs, Undead Blocks includes an NFT rental system that will let players, borrow, play, and earn! — Read more

MegaWorld Implements Cross-Chain Dependencies

MegaWorld made a number of changes and updates to their game recently, including the addition of Paper, a new resource which is needed by Offices. Creating Paper requires cross-chain resources, stimulating the global game economy! This is a big move for MegaWorld and should provide a boost to the game activity. — Read more

Citizen Conflict Launches Alpha 2.0 Soon

Though they haven’t given us an official launch date. Citizen Conflict continues to release teasers and bits of info about their upcoming Alpha 2.0 playtest. Scheduled for a release in Q2 of 2023, rumors have it that the next alpha may even open before the end of April! — Read more
