Veed.io grew to 290,000 monthly visitors by creating single-feature landing pages. Here’s how it works:

This bootstrapped video editing tool now has over $1M ARR, increasing to $400K monthly revenue in just 12 months. Their editing features include tools like adding automatic subtitles or generating social media videos. 

For most SaaS sales pages, user intent is to find out what the product actually does. Instead of creating a single landing page that displays a bunch of features, Veed created individual pages for each specific tool. 

Now, is the search volume impact worth the effort required to create a landing page for each tool?

It turns out it is, if you do proper research first. Terms like “Youtube to gif” get over 60K searches per month (according to Ahrefs). “Add text to gif” gets 16K searches per month.

These landing pages cover use cases like video translators or meme creators. And they are optimized with multiple call to actions, social proof, step-by-step instructions on how to use each tool, and embedded videos. 

Then again, the secret to Veed’s success is not only in their traffic, but also in their conversions. Each landing page lets you access the tool without having to create an account or add a credit card.

These pages serve as a funnel entrance for their business, letting people try their tool and later convert into paying customers.

Veed also grew its organic traffic with a strong backlink strategy, focused on three tactics:

• Each feature was launched and promoted as a separate product on platforms like Product Hunt, granting more visibility and backlinks.
• They followed a 50/50 content production/promotion process: if they spent half a day writing a piece of content, they also spent half a day promoting it. 
• As with any SaaS tool, they also focused on software listicles and reached out to sites where they could be featured, asking to be considered for the list or offering a free account in exchange.

The key to these single-feature landing pages was also the previous research: the team broke down all the features of their product, in order to identify content opportunities related to each single tool and assess queries that could become landing pages for high-volume keywords. 

This helped them to create a whole bunch of tools under one single brand, promote them as individual products, and drive much higher traffic to intent-specific pages.
