Delivering A Negative Outcome During a Tarot Reading Sucks!

Delivering A Negative Outcome During a Tarot Reading Sucks! But there is a way to do it to lessen the blow.I enjoy being a tarot reader, but it has its downsides. Some clients are unhappy with the reading because you tell them what they need to hear, not what they want! Then you have those readings where you have to deliver unfavorable outcomes. And that means you have to be the one to give the querent the bad news. There is no going around delivering the outcome other than softening the blow and providing helpful advice with a glimmer of hope in some way. So let me tell you how I do it when I am in a position where I get a reading for a client that has an outcome that is not the one that they want. Always Make It Clear That Nothing Is Set In StoneA decent tarot reader will immediately tell the querent before the reading that what they tell them is not to be taken as the gospel. Nothing is set in stone. There is free will in choices, and the querent must know that they are the ones who have the option to handle how the outcome turns out or to change their course. That also means using the correct language during the readings. For example, never say that something will happen. Instead, say something may or might happen or could happen. Therefore those words can be warnings but don’t tell the querent that whatever will happen is set in stone. Also, when you present the reading, say that things appear to be in a certain way instead of being in a certain way. So don’t use is, are, and use appear, or that is how it looks to me. For example, if a querent is going to a reader for a relationship reading, and based on the cards, the partner might be cheating, don’t say, “Your partner is cheating on you.” Instead, say, “From how this reading appears to me, there are signs that there is a chance that your partner may not be faithful to you.” The way you word things makes a huge difference. Another thing readers need to do is deliver bad news readings to help soften the blow. Give Advice With Some OptimismNow you know to tell the querent that nothing is set in stone with your readings. You also know how to use the best language. However, that does not take away that the news that you will give regarding the outcome of the reading is less than desirable and news they would not want to hear. You will want to provide some advice on handling the outcome, and if you can, try to add some optimism. For example, someone comes to you for a business reading. The querent started their new business and wants to know how it will unfold. Based on their path, you pull the Ten of Swords as the outcome. That is not good news. It means it will come to an end. How can you deliver that news? You have to be honest with what you see. You must tell the querent that you don’t see the new business lasting. But here is how you deliver the news: I did the reading for you about your new business. But, unfortunately, the outcome to me does not appear positive based on how things appear to me. In fact, your business may not last. However, it does not necessarily mean your business will be doomed. On the contrary, it may be doomed if you keep running it the way you are, and the outcome could become positive if you change your course. Then you can ask them how they are marketing their business and what service providers they are using to help them. That is not the news that the querent wants to hear, but they need to hear the truth. And perhaps that will make them look into how they are marketing their business and who they hired to assist them. They may see what they are doing is not working, allowing them to change the course to try another approach that could yield much better results.
