Pronounced “Ella,”¹ Eleh uses modular synths to linger on single tones, stretching them out and blending them slowly. “The microscopic becomes symphonic, subtle gradations in tone become immense, pulse waves become rhythm,” the New York Times wrote of his 2012 performance in Brooklyn. We’re first playing his latest LP, Pitreleh, a collaboration with composer Duane Pitre, which came out in February. We’re also playing Radiant Intervals I, a 2016 collection of four longform drone works.
