This founder wanted to launch a business, but he didn’t have an idea.

He searched on Helium10, a tool for Amazon sellers, for ideas. That’s where he learned that people searched “newborn photography props” more than 20,000 times a month on Amazon.

He ordered a set of newborn posing pillows… and found they weren’t very good.

So he launched First Landings, an e-commerce business that sold newborn photography props on Amazon—even though he wasn’t a parent himself.

Over the next three years, Danny Vivier and his co-founder and wife, Ashley Vivier, grew First Landings to $2.5 million in annual revenue. 
And they did it all as a side gig.
In 2022, they sold to an Amazon aggregator for around $2 million.
Five months after that, they had their first baby – and posed her in First Landings gear.
