• Dave Ramsey, a podcasters, amongst other things, is being sued for $150 million by former fans who followed his timeshare exit advice. Definitely a bit of a wake-up call for financial advice podcasts.

• Spotify laid off about 200 people in their podcast division. Their excuse? They are looking for “optimal organization.”

• During WWDC week Apple announced a bunch of new features for its Podcasts app.

• The credentials for 14,000 users of the podcasting platform Anchor, were leaked by hackers.

• We Edit Podcasts gives some good advice on how to negotiate a deal with a podcast sponsor.

• The Podcast Host released the results of their IndiePod census, and 35% of respondents said playing the long game was the number one factor in podcasting success.
