DevOps Bulletin - Digest #111: Logging in Kubernetes 📂

#111: Logging in Kubernetes

This week, I'm embarking on a wide spectrum of DevOps topics, starting from unit testing with AWS SAM, securing your Serverless GraphQL API, all the way to building a Grafana dashboard to track your AWS infrastructure costs.

I'll begin with a free, hands-on workshop about unit testing, mocking AWS services, and local testing of AWS SAM applications. Afterward, I'll guide you through a comprehensive list of factors to consider when choosing a Postgres hosting vendor.

My journey continues into the security realm as I discuss how to fortify your Serverless GraphQL API. For the Terraform enthusiasts among you, I'll demonstrate how to import existing resources into Terraform, generate code, and schedule automated Terraform operations.
Next, I'll delve into how to utilize AWS Lambda to identify AI-generated content at scale. If you're keen on effectively monitoring your AWS costs, you'll appreciate my tutorial on building a Grafana dashboard.

From the recent DevOpsDays Amsterdam 2023, I've gathered some invaluable takeaways which I'm excited to share with you.

As part of my weekly tradition, I'm featuring some noteworthy open-source projects. This week, I'm highlighting a package scanner for container images, systems, and SBOMs, a PostgreSQL Docker container that auto-upgrades your database, and a tool to run LLMs, AI, and Batch jobs on any cloud, among others.

There's a lot more in the full newsletter, so stick around, expand your DevOps knowledge, and enjoy this week's DevOps Digest!
