Corey went from devout listener to guest on his favorite podcast — Modern Wisdom with Chris Williamson. And he did it by writing online.  

Rewind: It’s 2020. Corey is a licensed psychologist and has been practicing for years. But he decides he is ready for more. He wants to launch his own practice. 

As a student in Write of Passage, Corey saw people excelling online — building audiences, launching businesses, blazing new paths. It stirred something within him. 

He began to focus on his writing. He wrote and published weekly articles about psychology and creativity on his website. He also listened to lots of podcasts (including his favorite show, Modern Wisdom). 

As he continued to write, he began to attract Internet Serendipity. 

First, his article was featured in Sahil Bloom’s widely read newsletter, Curiosity Chronicles. Then Psychology Today magazine took notice and made Corey a featured writer. He used his growing audience to launch his own psychology coaching practice. 

All this noise caught the attention of his favorite podcast host, Chris Williamson. 

Just a few years after he started writing online, Corey went from passive listener to guest on the Modern Wisdom podcast.

Write of Passage Cohort 7 helped Corey start writing online. By writing online, Corey stepped through the screen and into his dream-life. He went from a listener to a guest on his favorite podcast. He went from stuck in his career to running his own business. He’s making an impact. And he’s just getting started.
