Dear Bankless Nation 🏴,

The permissionless nature of Bankless DAO is a reflection of its core values of decentralization and inclusion. This means that anyone can participate in the DAO, regardless of their background or financial status. This week, many bDAO members were lucky enough to gather at the annual Permissionless event which was held in Austin, Texas. By all accounts, it was an uplifting experience, so this week’s edition of the Rollup is dedicated to sharing the vibe, stretching that IRL love just a little further!

Speaking of the vibe, the DAO’s Community Call team will be introducing new KPIs to help us measure the success of the weekly call and ensure that it is meeting the needs of the community. If you have feedback or would like to act as MC, they’d love to hear from you. Meanwhile, the Treasury Department are exploring ways to use our treasury balance to generate income and support the DAO's mission, and the AV Guild is implementing plans to change their organizational status to a Department to better reflect their services to the DAO.

The DAO’s collaborative work in service of the Optimism Collective’s Intent 3 grant, approved in July, is wrapping up over the next week or so. There have been numerous podcasts, newsletter editorials, threads, and articles produced in multiple languages and across an array of platforms, all spreading awareness of the Optimistic Vision, which is strongly aligned with the DAO’s vision. This has been a truly global alliance, and while everyone involved deserves applause, huge kudos must go to Eren Targ for keeping the orchestra in tune!

💰 Tokenomics — Approve DAI Capital-Efficiency Strategy

In early 2022, following the transfer of DAO liquidity to Uniswap V3, the DAO established a Rari Fuse pool, which would allow those holding BANK tokens to use them as collateral for borrowing.

This proposal is to deposit the 14,693.416 DAI which is sitting idle in DAO Treasury into BanklessDAO’s Rari Fuse pool and earn 6.53% APY. Based on feedback from links and Bananachain, the following text has been added to the proposal:

This proposal grants the Treasury Department the right to deposit the aforementioned funds into the Rari pool, and the right to decide and execute the withdrawal of such funds back into the DAO multi-sig when judged to be appropriate and necessary for economic or risk considerations.

⌚ DAO O’Clock Retrofunding Request

DAO O’Clock made up for the limited DAO-focused events at ETH Toronto by creating a happy-hour event at a nearby venue. In total, 125 people signed up and 75 made an appearance, showing the desire for DAO-focused discussion.

This proposal is requesting 211,517 BANK as retroactive funding to cover the costs associated with the event.

This week-long event promises to be transparent and inspiring.
