Honest truth, I've been working on outlining a new course on creating a sellable product inside a Google Sheet.

But then Better Sheets members had questions!

I saw a little pattern in those questions and got distracted.

Too distracted.

So distracted, that I outlined another course!

How Can I Integrate My Sheets with ______?

One of the most common questions about products in sheets was how to integrate data from outside of sheets, or even plug directly into an external app.

In addition to this someone asked about integrating Google Sheets with Google Tasks. Is that possible?

I knew you could integrate Gmail and Sheets ()

But Google Tasks?
Figured it out... well in reality I just read about it on Google's Documentation, and then tried it out.

Yes you can access Google Tasks from Apps Script you write in a Google Sheet.

Whoa, this could supercharge your checklists!

New Course Idea

I'm thinking of making a course on integrating Google Sheets with anything.

Calling it "Supercharge Your Sheets" for now.

Where as the product course is a lot of theory, I wanted this course, about integrations, to be very project oriented. Very hands-on. Doing the task, not just talking about it.

I delved into the past tutorials and found many which speak to this idea of integration. And cobbled them together to create a seed of a course, for now.

Better Sheets member can watch those tutorials now. No waiting for me to launch the course.

The plan right now is to flesh out these projects with more fundamentals, essential concepts you will need to know to really understand API's.

The goal of this course is to teach you the skills to interpret any API you come across in the wilds of the internet. And to give you a few projects to do to integrate the other Google workspace apps.

Was it an external app? Someone asked about a dictionary API.

Was it a Google Workspace Application? Someone (as mentioned before) asked about Google Tasks.
