My heart aches for our Israeli and Jewish friends. The atrocities against innocent people - families, grandparents, festival goers and children - are acts of evil. They're painful to experience at a human level. During tragedies like this, I struggle to find the right words - so I come back to the notion that two things can be true at once.

You can denounce terrorism, while praying for safety of innocent people. You can hurt and cry, while believing that better days lie ahead. And you can seethe in anger, while opening your heart our shared humanity.
