Picture-Perfect

A lot of Amazon sellers who tried to DIY their product images know it’s better to spend a few more bucks to get it professionally done. We’re always trying to implement the best practices for product photography and tried out multiple freelance platforms before to find which ones provide the best designs.

But you may not have to do that with Amazon’s latest AI development.

The e-commerce giant recently rolled out a new generative AI technology that allows sellers to instantly create lifestyle photos with just a simple product photo as a basis. So as long as you take a relatively decent picture of your product, Amazon will take care of the equivalent lifestyle photos.

It’s still in beta, so some of the photos may not look as realistic as you want them to be. But it would definitely make advertising easier, especially for those who are on a tight budget.

What Happened in Hong Kong?

We did a lot during our first post-pandemic out-of-the-country company trip. Among others, we ate xiaolongbao, stayed up until 3 AM belting out songs from the 80s, and went to Disneyland.

We missed Ben and Helena on the trip, but they shouldn’t miss the photo op.

But before we got whiplashed at Hyperspace Mountain, we were able to discuss what we could improve about EcomCrew Premium.

It might be the cold air or a surprisingly advantageous lack of sleep the night before, but we love what we came up with.

We won’t spill the details yet. But during our Black Friday launch, we’re releasing a fresher, more interactive EcomCrew Premium. We literally have something new for you each week, so we can guarantee you won’t be bored—or left behind.

We’re currently updating our Premium landing page. But if you want to get exclusive discounts on top of our Black Friday offer, you can sign up for the waitlist here.

Google’s Q3 2023 Report

Alphabet Inc. recently announced its Q3 financial report, and the company managed to exceed expectations except in one area: Cloud.

Alphabet recorded a revenue of $76.69 billion for Q3, which represents an 11% growth YoY. This is the first time in more than a year that its growth is in the double digits.

Its $59.65 billion ad revenue is about $5 billion more than it was a year ago. On the other hand, Google Cloud was about $20 million short of the expected $8.64 billion revenue. However, this number is still 22% more than the year earlier.

Speaking of short, according to CEO Sundar Pichai, Youtube Shorts, the platform’s TikTok rival, is doing well with an average daily viewership of 70 billion, up from 50 billion at the start of the year. These are promising numbers, which is why EcomCrew is experimenting with the format.

Amazon Top Terms

Let's delve into the last two weeks and explore the Amazon top 10 search terms that have gained remarkable popularity from October 8 to October 21.

In this week's Amazon top 10, "nun halloween costume" has claimed the #6 spot, experiencing a significant uptick in sales from 31 units per day to an impressive 152 units per day over the past two weeks. The surge in popularity is likely attributed to the upcoming Halloween festivities, with shoppers gearing up for the season by showing interest in themed costumes.

Yet, the seasonal essence of Halloween presents both advantages and hurdles. Explore our comprehensive guide on The Pros and Cons of Selling Seasonal Products Online for an in-depth understanding.
