1. Feature client wins on your homepage

What’s the tactic?

Add a concise list of client wins in the hero section of your website homepage.

What was the result?

Powered by Search saw their conversion rate increase “greatly.” When they applied the same tactic for one of their clients, they saw a 9.9% increase in demo close rates.

2. Offer Google One Tap for sign-ins

What’s the tactic?

Offer users the option to sign in using their Google account via Google One Tap.

What was the result?

During AppSumo’s A/B test, new accounts increased by 52.09%.

3. Incorporate calls into your lead nurturing strategy

What’s the tactic?

Get SDRs (Sales Development Reps) to call marketing leads with a goal to move them down the pipeline, and booked in for an appointment with the sales team.

What was the result?

For Connect 365, this tactic was responsible for 25% of the sales appointments booked. It also makes closing sales easier, as leads have already spoken to someone from the company.

4. Look beyond ROAS

What’s the tactic?

ROAS (Return on Ad Spend) only measures immediate revenue. Make sure to also look at longer-term metrics, such as LTV (Lifetime Value), to effectively optimize your marketing strategy and increase profits.

What was the result?

When looking at first orders only, Daily Paper’s Facebook ROAS was 2.4 for men, and 1.9 for women. However, when looking at a 60-day period, they saw that women actually spent more than men, with a 2.4 ROAS for men, and 5.1 for women.

5. Use widely different ad creatives

What’s the tactic?

Test a selection of “widely different,” and even outright ugly look and feels for your static ad creatives.

What was the result?

For Bridgette Orten’s client, two of the creatives led to a 19% decrease in ad costs overnight. And after testing different landing pages, they dropped down even further to 31% after 3 days.
