This issue: First Looks at Static Hermes

Welcome to the November issue of the React Native Newsletter!

The onset of Winter, with fewer hours of daylight and colder weather, has produced a bumper crop of articles, Xeets, and videos for this issue, all submitted by the team at Infinite Red and members of the React Native Community such as yourself.

In this issue, we have two Top Pick items about Static Hermes. Both provide an early-days overview, so this is a great opportunity to take a peek into what could be a game changer in React Native's future.

The latest React Native release is:

Latest 0.72.6  -  Updates include:

  • All Platforms: Fixed a potential bug in EventEmitter when used with certain Babel configurations that incorrectly polyfill the spread operator for iterables.
  • iOS-specific: Set the max version of Active support to 7.0.8

There's a lot more to discover in today's issue. Enjoy!
