Gaming NFT values are up, a new token airdrop, and a new feature for one of our oldest games! Welcome to the 207th edition of the Play to Earn newsletter!

While crypto values edge upward and many token holders wait for the next major bull run, quietly, many gaming NFTs have seen a major increase in value over the recent weeks. This includes Mocas from the Mocaverse, Nexian Gems from Skyborne Legacy, The Chosen of Civitas, and Sugartown Oras by Zynga — just to name a few!

We’ve also seen a renewed minting frenzy as Champions Tactics from Ubisoft and Overworld both sell out their initial mints in minutes!

And while this may not be the same craziness we saw with the play to earn scene in early 2021, this is another sign that web3 gaming is here to stay and that gaming NFTs have real value to the players!

And though the news cycle tends to slow down a bit at the end of the year, we do have a couple of big announcements. Axie Infinity has opened up a new feature, letting players evolve individual parts on their Axies, giving them a customized appearance. Also, Revolving Games, the developer behind Skyborne Legacy and a Battlestar Galactica game that we don’t seem to hear much about these days, announced plans for a token airdrop early next year!
