I came across a company last week and can’t stop thinking about it. It’s called Telly, and they are giving away a slick TV with two screens, a massive soundbar, and built in apps, all…for free. Well, kinda. Telly plans on paying for the TVs, and then some, by leveraging ads. How? In order to get on the waitlist to get a Telly, you need to fill out a lengthy user preferences form about yourself. They then eventually ship you a free Telly, and presumably send that TV targeted ads based on your survey replies. Free TV, better ads. Genius! Thanks for reading Mat's Newsletter!
