Ozempic Has Brought Out the Emperor Tarot Card in MeOverall I have to say it has given me the ass kick I needed, and I welcomed it.The Emperor finally kicked me in the ass I needed, which is how I ended up on Ozempic, and it finally helped me find my inner Emperor. Finally! Who is the Emperor? The Emperor is the most masculine card in the Major Arcana, representing authority, discipline, order, stability, and self-control, ruled by Aries. It is the fourth card, as four is about structure and stability. In most traditional Tarot decks, the Emperor card depicts a mature man seated on a throne, symbolizing authority and leadership. He is usually portrayed as a strong and wise figure with a long white beard and a crown, representing his sovereignty. He is a father figure. When this card shows up in a reading, it is suggestive that your life is in order and you are the one who is in charge, as this is what you need to see at times to gain some confidence. This also can indicate outstanding accomplishments resulting from being disciplined and hard-working. The Emperor also makes it clear that you are the one who is setting up your own rules as well as your boundaries. Because we all know without boundaries, you are screwed. This card rules leadership, which suggests you are in this role and position. You are more powerful and organized than you realize. It is a reminder that the potential exists if you are not at this point. Much like many other old, mystical things throughout all periods, there are varying stories and legends behind them. It's one of the reasons why people still fear or believe in what happened during these specific periods. The Emperor was once thought of as a king and a god--a perfect being that should be worshiped by all means necessary because he does not put up with shit. The Emperor is guaranteed to set you straight one way or another, as he brings order into areas of your life that have been disorderly at one point or another. He knows how to kick you in the ass when you need it. The Emperor Refuses to Put Up With Unhealthy CarelessnessEveryone falls into bad habits, but sometimes, what fuels these bad habits may be out of your control. Especially if you have an addictive personality or you fall into bad habits out of comfort even if you are not technically addicted, such as always going to bed at 3 am and then getting up at noon (unless you are a teenager, of course). But let's talk about my struggle with obesity and yo-yo dieting. I struggled with my weight since I was 11, as I had hit puberty then, and of course, that was one of those things that caused me to become a bullying target. But that is not the point of my piece. I started going on a diet when I was 15, and I had lost a lot of weight at that time, and regained, lost, regained, as I kept yo-yo dieting for decades. When I was 30, after having my kids as they were young, I wanted to have a tubal ligation, but my OBGYN, who was planning to operate, told me that I had to lose a lot of weight for it to be a safe surgery. Well, I was about 60 lbs overweight, and they were right. I went to Jenny Craig (remember that name?), and they slapped me on a 1500-calorie diet, and after losing about 30 lbs, I had the surgery. I lost about 56 lbs with them until I started gaining back my weight, and then, once my son was diagnosed with autism, the weight piled on even more as I was eating out of emotions. From that time to the time my son had left home for the therapeutic residence, I battled with my weight even more. Before he left, I was at the heaviest I ever was, at 300 lbs, as I was incredibly depressed, dealing with extreme burnout, and had so much suppressed trauma. Then, about four months after decompressing, I decided to get serious about my weight loss, and I slapped myself on a 1500-calorie diet. That was a mistake, considering I was probably inhaling at least 4000 calories daily at my heaviest as the food was my comfort (and all of that cortisol likely was not helping), as I should have started at least 2500 and then worked my way down. I did not even talk to my doctor; I just did it as the transition was awful. However, the weight was falling off, and then I kept it off for a while but gained a lot back during the thick of the pandemic because of the lockdowns. I mindlessly and comfort ate again. However, last year, I heard a lot about the Ozempic craze, and it was touted as this magical formula helping people lose weight by changing thoughts about food in the brain and keeping them full. In January 2023, I went to my doctor and asked about Ozempic. He said he had to test my blood sugar to ensure that I could be a candidate as it is supposed to be a diabetic drug, and if I only used it for obesity, I had to prepare myself for paying for it out of pocket. Sure enough, I am diabetic, so I was immediately a candidate. There is diabetes in the family, but the truth is, those years of yo-yo dieting are what did it. I do have PCOS, which increased my risk of it and was the reason that I was prone to struggling with my weight, but I needed a lot more help and structure to keep my health intact. And Ozempic seems to be doing the job. Ozempic Is My EmperorI have lost over 40 lbs since late January, and I have about 25 lbs more to go, as it is a slow loss but progressive. Ozempic is my Emperor because my thoughts about food are improving. I am staying more in control. I am not mindlessly snacking anymore. I don't have the "food noise" as I don't think about it. I eat when I am hungry, and yes, I splurge sometimes, but it is within reason and in moderation. I write when I am emotional, as I no longer eat when I do. However, I have to stay on Ozempic for life, as I need to keep my A1C down in addition to managing my obesity. I know this is a hot topic for many, but obesity is a complex disease that can result from many other physical and mental health conditions. I tried willpower and calorie counting too many times, which led to my yo-yo dieting. Ozempic is my Emperor; as long as he is part of my plan, I will maintain the health and order I need to solve this issue. Now, let’s discuss the other cards that are esoterically related to the Emperor. What Other Cards Are Related to the Emperor on an Esoteric Level? What other tarot cards are related to the Emperor? It boils down to what other cards have Aries tied to them, hence Mars being the ruler. Mars is Scorpio's co-ruler, which rules Death, so you can say that the Emperor and Death show both sides to the war of god, which are his power and his ability to destroy. When you think about it, the Death card corresponds with 13, the number of transformations, and it reduces to four, which goes back to the Emperor. Mars is also associated with the Tower, the card that rules destruction. There is an indirect relationship between the Emperor and the Tower. When you think about it, the Emperor has the power to utilize the force that comes with the Tower, but the fallout from that happens is on the Emperor's shoulders, which is Death. The Emperor has a relation to three decans in the Minor Arcana, which are Two of Wands, as Mars rules that in Aries, and the Three of Wands, the Sun in Aries. You have Mars in its dignity, and the Sun is its exaltation. The Four of Wands is also connected as the card is related to Venus in Aries. Therefore, with the Two of Wands, it is all about making robust plans and choices, the Three of Wands is taking the initiative of expanding horizons, and the Four of Wands is all about celebrating and taking the initiative to make those moves to move forward. Those cards are about taking control to make the next move and then celebrating what you did, which is all relevant to what the Emperor represents. There you have it! Taking control of anything you can change means digging into your inner Emperor. You’re currently a free subscriber to Miriam Reads Tarot . For the full experience, upgrade your subscription.
