The Best Young American Soccer Players, Ranked
More than a year on, Net Gains received another nice review. This one, from Aaron Gordon in his great book-review newsletter, Book Time:
There’s also a short Q&A with me in there where I recommend a book that I love and that’s impossible to describe here without immediately ending up on a government watchlist. Oh, and for ESPN I tried to rank the best under-21 American soccer players. I normally don’t like “I tried” as a way to describe writing — you didn’t try, you did it, and then it was published — but it’s applicable here because projecting prospects is incredibly hard and there are really only two players in the entire pool about whom I’m comfortable saying anything remotely definitive. Read the piece to find out who they are. Bye! |
