• In what I consider absolutely great news, iOS podcast app, Castro, has announced that they have a new owner, which should hopefully stabilize the service an ensure a long-life into the future.

• Triton Digital have released a 32 page report about the state of podcasts in 2023. Unsurprisingly, podcast audiences are still growing, though not at the same rate they used to.

• Looks like SiriusXM has landed Smartless and associated podcasts in a $100 million deal. What’s a cool 100 mil between friends right?

• In my home country of Canada, the CBC announced that it has launched 7 new locally focused podcasts. Cool!
