I have one hand deep in a bag of Valentine’s Day Hershey Kisses that I just opened up a few hours ago.

When I bought the 3-pound bag of them at CVS, I told the cashier I was buying them for me and allllll of my friends.

She didn’t even acknowledge my comment or make any eye contact.

I’m sure she hears a whole lot of lies and she doesn’t get paid enough to entertain them with flattery.

I wish she would have called me out on my BS though and said:

Ma’am, we all know you don’t share these kind of things with your friends.

But instead, I grabbed my 10-foot long receipt and my big bag of kisses and headed back to my couch.

It’s February and we’re surrounded by love.

But there are many dimensions to love.

Friendship Coach 

• We use coaches for dating, so why not for friendships? Friendship coaches guide on all things friendship-related. From how to move out of an unhealthy one, to how to keep one in your inner circle. 

• Friendship coaches charge anywhere from $50 to $300 per session.

• The topic of friendship and all that it entails is prevalent in the podcast world, and with several podcasts dedicated to friendships, this is a great resource.

• Like any relationship, there may be difficulty unpacking issues. With a friendship therapist, a professional can help to learn how to discover those issues and improve friendships.

• Much like the online dating world, there are online friendship-matching services. And these types of communities are devoted to making it easier to find friends.

• It’s as simple as being a friend online. Through messages, video calls, or even playing video games!

• Virtual friends charge anywhere from $20 an hour to $2000 a week!

• Just as there are apps for dating, there are also apps to help people make friends. These apps can be unique to dog lovers, book readers, gym-goers and more. 

• While most apps are free, some charge $5-$10 for a subscription.

Rent-a-Friend

• If you need someone to accompany you to a movie, teach you a new sport, try out a new restaurant with, look no further than this service. 

• With companies like Rent-A-Friend, registration and searching is free, but you can earn up to $50 per hour just to  “be” a friend.
