The Husk By Jasmine Stole Weiss - Writings on the Pacific wanted
The Pacific Islands Report is putting together its first issue of Visions & Voices and submissions are open. For this inaugural issue, the theme is Tides of Change in the Pacific Islands. PIR is seeking essays, articles, written commentary, or short manuscripts that explore this theme. The work should be directed toward general audiences but focused on topics related to the Pacific islands. Pieces should be between 800 and 1,200 words. PIR wants folks to share work on topics pertinent to Micronesia, Melanesia, and/or Polynesia. Expanding on the theme Tides of Change in the Pacific Islands, PIR offers this prompt: Dive into the tides of change across the Pacific islands. Share your submission on any topic relevant to the region. How does your exploration contribute to a deeper understanding of the dynamic issues we face in the Pacific islands region, and what insights or solutions might inform how we navigate these tides of change? The deadline to submit a piece is March 31. Submit your work by email to pireport@eastwestcenter.org. Details about submitting are available at pireport.org/submissions. If you liked this post from The Husk, like it, share it on your newsfeed, or forward it to someone who might also like this. Kmal mesulang, kalahngan, thank you, thank you. |
