Referral Program

Earn 10x the credits when you refer your friends and family for a demo drive
Tesla knows that one of their best sales tactics is test drives (aka butts on seats), that is the reason why they are incentivizing them even more via the referral program boosting the credits from 100 to 1,000 for a demo drive completed using a referral code by March 1st.

Tesla shakes up referral program with Cybertruck perks 📷
Tesla's updated U.S. referral program includes new rewards like priority Cybertruck delivery within 45 days for 30,000 points (which quickly sold out) and factory tours to both Giga Autin and Fremont for 10,000 credits.
If you are buying a new Tesla or scheduling a demo drive, please consider using our referral code http://ts.la/ignacio9266

Navigation Updates

Navigation now shows how many cars are in route to the Supercharger 📷
Tesla's navigation system now displays the number of cars headed toward a Supercharger station, providing owners with better insight into station occupancy upon arrival. This is something that I welcome, as during busy travel times it is important to understand not only the current situation but also have an idea of what it will be once you get there.

Tesla is now accounting for ‘battery age’ in its range calculation
Tesla's latest software update introduces 'battery age' as a new factor in its electric vehicle range calculation, promising even more precise battery range estimates for drivers. This update complements previous enhancements that accounted for crosswind, headwind, humidity, temperature, and tire pressure. Additionally, the update aids drivers with pre-conditioning time notifications for more efficient Supercharger visits.

Software Updates

Tesla rolls out cold weather Supercharging improvements in 2024.2.6
Tesla's software update 2024.2.6 introduces key improvements for Supercharging in cold weather, adding automatic warming of the charge port to prevent freezing and supplementing preconditioning messages with the remaining time required for optimal battery heating. The update also includes real-time information, such as 'accident' and 'closed road' notifications on maps, enhancing the overall driving and navigation experience.

FSD (Beta) V12.2.1 rollout to Tesla employees and more non-employees
Tesla keeps releasing new versions and expanding the pool of people who get it. Let's hope they continue to increase it and think of us as worthy testers soon ðŸ™‚

Deliveries

Tesla delays deliveries of the Model S and Model Y
Tesla has temporarily put the delivery of the Model S Dual Motor AWD and Model Y Performance on hold in the U.S. following a request by the EPA. It seems that some owners have been affected by this issue, and until Tesla resolves the discrepancies with the EPA created by the efficiency package, we won't be seeing deliveries of these models. Let's hope it's just a matter of a couple of weeks.

Model 3

Making Model 3 even better 📷
Great video by Tesla on the changes made to the new Model 3. As Franz mentions in the video, they trimmed the 'baby fat' of the car, making its lines more aggressive, improving performance, noise reduction, and many other aspects. I love that Tesla releases these types of videos!

Tesla Vision Park Assist with HW4 on new 2024 Model 3 vs HW3 with parking sensors ðŸ“¹
According to the author of this video, with the addition of High Fidelity Park Assist, the 2024 Model 3 performs as well, if not better, than the older Model 3 with ultrasonic sensors. The main problem he sees is that there is a blind spot right in front of the car and small objects below the front bumper can be a problem. If you have experienced both, what do you think? Is this accurate? We are taking delivery of our new Model 3 this weekend and we will be able to test this ourselves soon.

Cybertruck

New Cybertruck wrap colors are now available at the Tesla Shop 📷
I have to admit that when Tesla first announced the Cybertruck, I was expecting them to offer many different factory wraps, but they announced only two: Satin Stealth Black and Satin Ceramic White. This week, Tesla is spicing things up with three new wrap colors for the Cybertruck: Satin Rose Gold, Satin Abyss Blue, and Slip Grey, with prices ranging from $6,000 to $6,500. These wraps provide a self-healing, urethane-based protective film for the Cybertruck's stainless-steel surfaces, making it look really cool, and more importantly, they should prevent those fingerprints that we've seen all over the stainless steel 😬.

🤓 What the acronym
As a Tesla fan, I find myself sometimes having to remember what are all those acronyms, here is a list of the ones you can find in this issue.
  • AWD: All-Wheel Drive
  • EPA: Environmental Protection Agency
  • HW3: Autopilot Hardware version 3
