NichePursuits.com - Reddit Spam Dominates Google

I'm excited to share that I just hit publish on another episode of This Week in Niche Pursuits news here.​

In this episode, Jared and I discuss how Reddit is dominating the Google SERPS for product review keywords...and most of those results have comment spam.

In other words, the top comment or the Reddit thread itself is nothing more than comments with affiliate links upvoted to the top.

Thanks to the study by Glen Alsop for analyzing 10,000 results to uncover what's going on.

The best part is that a spokesperson from Reddit responded to the study and essentially said, "There's no spam problem here"....and then gave an example of a product review reddit thread to prove their point.

The problem? The example that the Reddit spokesperson gave also had Reddit spam as the top comment (just like Glen was pointing out).

Wow.

Jared and I dive deep on this subject, how it impacts small publishers, and Google's response to all of this.
