Here’s what we learned about The Daily Carnage community this week:

  • 47.8% of marketers report that engagement for Reels dropped over the course of 2023. According to a study by SproutSocial, the average engagement for Reels is 1.23%, representing a 25% decline since 2022.
  • Still, Reels continue to be the most engaging content format on Instagram. 26.1% of marketers did not post Reels in 2023.
  • Speaking of Instagram, the majority of marketers (67.9%) use a link aggregator, like Linktree, on brand accounts, despite the platform allowing 5 links in the bio.
  • 20% of marketers do not feel confident in their ability to discern AI-generated writing from human-generated writing; the mode response was “somewhat confident” (32.7%). Will we get better at it with practice or it will become near impossible as time goes on?

  • 3 oz. Grape Juice

  1. Spread a layer of peanut butter inside a long and wide plastic container and pour a bottle of vodka over it.
  2. Let sit for 4 days, turning the peanut butter with a spatula. Strain with cheesecloth and separate the infused vodka from the oil.
