Right now, imagine a retirement you’ll love — a real-life thing you want to do in time. Maybe it’s something you haven’t seen play out in your family or community, but you’ve heard about it or dreamed about it. Any goal goes.

Creating a vision board is a fun approach to retirement planning, sure. Even better? It’s not at all frivolous: Vision-boarding your retirement can be a smarter money move than number-crunching it. Because goal-based saving and investing can give you a much higher chance of reaching those goals than trying to outperform some target.
