Here's my current thought...

​

Putting some assets (and ongoing future investments) into a holding company (a C-corp) makes sense if you invest in private company deals where you own a small stake.

​

Profits could be reinvested at a lower rate (the corporate tax rate) vs having to pay a high income tax rate on everything.

​

This, of course, only works if you reinvest everything vs consuming.

​

The exceptions would be:

​

1. Always keeping 1-2 LLCs around for capturing expenses.
2. Anything that could qualify for QSBS (the $10mil tax exemption for startups).

​

Berkshire sure seems to be moving capital around at a cheaper rate than with directly owned entities this way.

​

Questions for you:

🤑 Robinhood on notice from the SEC about its crypto business. The old argument that the crypto aren't securities, while the SEC insists that most tokens must follow its rules.

🤑 Investing in homebuilders could be a smart move right now. Tight supply, strong demand despite high interest rates. Homebuilder stocks are worth some attention as an investment option - they are currently valued lower than the broader market.

​

🤑 Many high earners have a low net worth because they're stuck in a spending cycle and missing out on growing their wealth. If this is you, there is a clear need to change how you think about money.
