Microsoft showed new integrations between its Copilot artificial intelligence technologies and its Windows PC operating system at a media event on Monday in advance of the company’s annual Build developer conference in Redmond. It also previewed a new class of personal computers designed to further integrate AI capabilities into its longtime software platform. “We believe AI will be distributed,” said Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella (above). “The richest AI experiences will harness the power of the cloud and the edge working together in concert.” Read more.

Overland AI, a University of Washington spinout developing off-road self-driving tech for the U.S. military, raised $10 million from top venture capital firms. The 2-year-old startup recently inked a deal with the U.S. Army and has found a niche in the autonomous vehicle industry. Read more.

An entrepreneur and investor with roots in the defunct Techstars Seattle program plans to launch a new invite-only organization and shared workspace that supports tech founders by surrounding them with fellow entrepreneurs and experienced startup mentors.
