Shelter in Poems: A Virtual Reading

Last week The Academy of American Poets hosted Shelter in Poems: A Virtual Reading to bring us together. Poets, artists, actors, and musicians all took part by reading a poem that has brought them hope and comfort. You can read the anthology of poems featured in the reading on Poets.org, and watch the reading on Youtube

Pulitzer Prize in Poetry 

Congratulations to Jericho Brown, whose collection The Tradition (Copper Canyon Press, 2019), has been awarded a Pulitzer Prize. Read more about Jericho Brown and his poems on Poets.org. 

Marshall & Laughlin Submissions 

We are accepting online submissions to the 2020 Lenore Marshall Poetry Prize, recognizing the most outstanding book of poetry published in 2019, as well as the 2020 James Laughlin award, supporting a second book of poetry forthcoming in 2021. The deadline to submit is May 15, 2020.
