Instagram is introducing Views as the primary metric for content across ALL formats. This means you will be able to track the same metric across your photos, carousels, Stories, and Reels.

However, this doesn’t change the importance of “sends per reach” which Adam Mosseri, CEO of Instagram, recommends that creators keep monitoring.

Here are 6 places to find influencers:

1. Start by searching on social media. Search for hashtags related to your industry or campaign theme. Also, look up the influencer and creator directories of platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
2. Find the right influencer marketing platform. I recommend HashtagPaid and Passionfroot to start.
3. Follow industry media platforms. Bookmark a few podcasts, newsletters, and websites in your niche, and watch who they highlight, interview, and recommend.
4. Check your competitors. Analyzing your competitors can reveal effective (and ineffective) influencer strategies.
5. Participate in industry events. Well-attended industry conferences (online or offline) where influencers might speak or participate can be a great resource for discovery. Check X Spaces and LinkedIn Audio Events relevant to your industry.
6. Ask your community. Engage with them on social media or through email newsletters, asking them to recommend their favorite influencers. Alternatively, I suggest identifying active community members who consistently create content related to your brand.

To make the most of a creator partnership, here are some best practices:

• Determine the type of influencer you want to work with — nano, micro, macro, or mega.
• Define your goals for a partnership. Develop a detailed audience persona that includes demographics, interests, pain points, and social media habits.
• Set a budget and compensation plan. There’s an influencer for every budget. You just have to plan yours and look for creators who fit.
• Decide what content formats you want from your influencer partners — product reviews, unboxings, tutorials, sponsored posts, or live streams.

Whatever path you choose in your search and partnerships with creators and influencers, prioritize longevity.

An ongoing agreement, fair pay, and exclusive treatment will do wonders for enhancing authenticity and delivering better results over time than one-off partnerships.
