#1 - From feedback to offer

Many newsletters have a feedback form at the bottom (like this one) so people can quickly leave their impressions of the email.

Most of us use feedback to feel our audience's “vibe,” and that’s it.

But some take it one step further. This is what Houck from Houck’s newsletter did:

Even more interesting is that this likely only happens when you leave a 5-star review, meaning you loved his newsletter, so why wouldn’t you love one of his paid products?

#2 - Use Reddit to find content ideas

Reddit has always seemed to be a great source of business ideas and content.

Corey Haines proposes a smart framework for getting insights directly from your target's mouth:

The result is a library of your audience’s pain points.

Solve those problems with your content. If you can use the specific words they are using in those replies, even better.

#3 - Bribe your audience

Some of you received an email from me last week.

In that email, I shared about my friend Jeff’s new product. I wrote that email because:

But that’s not the point. I’m here to tell you the one thing I did that I’m pretty sure helped me (and Jeff) secure a couple of extra sales:

→ I bribed you

If you made it to the end of the email, you likely found this:

It's pretty simple: if you buy Jeff’s product, I’ll add my own product to it for free!

This is a great way to incentivize people (I prefer to call it a bribe, but you get the point).

For the email alone, some people would likely have got it. But adding the bribe as a bonus made it so a couple more jumped in!
