Hi there,
Should you start a business?
Let me answer this by telling you a short story…
I remember watching one of those talent shows, and I am crying at how bad the singer was. The parents were cheering them on from the sidelines. The singer was chasing their childhood dream. They were giving it EVERYTHING.
But no one had pulled the singer to one side and told them the ugly truth. They couldn’t sing. No one likes being the dream killer.
Our dreams are not always achievable. Not because of a lack of effort, a lack of love, but just simply a lack of talent.
The dreams we choose for ourselves must match our talent for it, but we don’t always choose with that requirement in mind.
So, back to answering the original question, not everyone should be an entrepreneur, but EVERYONE wants to be one.
It takes lots of seemingly unrelated skills to be an entrepreneur. None of which are taught at school or university. For good reason.
In short, you need to be able to sing.
That is why when Christian Hunt came to me and said he had an idea about a workshop that would help a lot of people to decide to not quit their jobs, I completely got it.

Everyone knows what this moment feels like.
“That's it. It's gone. Never to return. Another working day is over, and you wonder: where on earth did the hours go?
And you can't help thinking . . .Is it normal to feel like this? I should quit…”
But what if there’s another way?
What if, instead of walking away, you could discover something transformative — a way to reignite your passion and create fulfilment right where you are?
That’s exactly what Don’t Quit is all about.
In this one-day workshop, we’ll help you reframe your current role as a space for growth and self-discovery, a place where you can unearth what truly motivates and excites you.
Mark Heywood and Christian Hunt both left the corporate world to pursue their passions.
There were things they did while still employed that made the transition far smoother and more meaningful. And there were other things they now wish they’d done.
They’ll share both with you, showing how to transform your role into a developmental journey that equips you with the mindset and tools you need — whether you decide to stay or one day take the leap.
This workshop isn’t for everyone.
If you’re 100% satisfied in your current role and don’t want change, it’s probably not for you.
But if you’re curious and ready to explore what stepping out could look like without the risk, this is your chance to take control of your career.
Are you ready to find fulfilment where you are?
I think this workshop will strike a chord with lots of people right now.
Best from the Far West,

Overview.
‘Don’t Quit’ is a one-day workshop for professionals who are at a crossroads in their careers.
Whether you are considering quitting your job for something more fulfilling or seeking greater satisfaction in your current role, this course will help you identify the opportunities and skills for the next phase of your career.
Conventional wisdom says that if you don’t like your job, you should quit. If you’re in a toxic environment that is impacting your mental health, then that’s good advice. But what if, rather than quitting, you could take advantage of opportunities already on offer?
|
|
Why You Should Do This: ●Rediscover Purpose and Passion: Identify what truly excites and motivates you by pinpointing your passion and redefining your career objectives.
●Practical Skills for Transition: Learn essential skills and strategies to prepare for a career shift or enhance your current job.
●Low-Risk Career Exploration: Instead of quitting immediately, you'll learn how to turn your current role into an internship-like experience, developing skills and knowledge that will prepare you for a future career move.
●Real-Life Success Stories: Gain inspiration from others who have successfully transitioned from corporate roles to more fulfilling careers.
●Elegant Exit Strategies: Already on your way out? Discover how to maximise your opportunities and avoid common pitfalls.
Why You Shouldn’t Do This
●Content with Current Role: If you are completely satisfied with your current job and see no need for change, this course might not be for you.
●Immediate Career Shift: Looking for a quick fix or immediate job change? You may not benefit from this course, which advocates a thoughtful and strategic approach to career transition.
●Resistance to Change: If you’re resistant to self-reflection, learning new skills, or stepping out of your comfort zone, the strategies and insights may not resonate with you.
|
|
Course Highlights:
●Founder's Insights: Discover how to pinpoint your passion and what will get you out of bed in the morning.
●CEO Strategies: Define your purpose, understand your product, and identify your true customer base.
●CFO Essentials: Managing your finances — budgeting, pricing strategies and understanding your worth.
●Marketing Mastery: Build your brand and understand the power of social media and podcasting.
●Legal and Operational Tips: Navigate the legal landscape and find the tools you need to operate independently.
●HR Considerations: Decide whether to employ staff or collaborate with other freelancers
Who will you learn from?
The workshop will be led by Mark Heywood and Christian Hunt, who both left careers in banking to become founders. Inspired by insights from their own experiences, Don’t Quit will cover the things they wish they’d been told before they embarked on their adventures and the things they did while still employed that turned out to be surprisingly helpful. As well as practical suggestions for what to do and not do, you’ll learn how to find inspiration in the most unlikely of places.
