They’re a hard product to test. And they’re a bit taboo to talk about. But vibrators can help greatly improve the quality of lives of many people, so our journalists went to work to find the very best ones, using Wirecutter’s rigorous testing standards.

Ask yourself what you want out of the experience. And whatever model you decide on, Bianca’s advice is to not give up if you don’t love the toy you choose at first. Try it a few times.

At first glance the sleek Njoy Pure Wand looks like a futuristic weapon or a piece of modern art. But across more than a decade of reviewing sex toys, Bianca hasn’t found any G-spot toy that testers love nearly as much. Its firm, smooth texture and ergonomic curved shape elicit what testers reported as the most intense sensations of all the penetrative toys they tried.
