One of our favorite mascaras is on sale right now

After testing more than 30 mascaras, our beauty experts agree: The Better Than Sex mascara is worth the splurge. It has a fluffy hourglass-shaped brush that leaves lashes fully covered without feeling cakey or crumbly. The rich formula is the most buildable we’ve ever tested. And, importantly, it lasts all day.

“I’ve laughed, cried, and even done the Hot Ones Challenge while wearing this mascara,” writes staff writer Kaitlin Mahar. “Through it all, the dark, rich color always stays put.”

Not heavy. Not goopy. Just good

There are a dizzying number of mascaras out there, many of which will leave you with clumped lashes or raccoon-like circles by the end of the day. After testing the most promising contenders during workouts, on rainy days, in showers, and on a plane, we walked away with five standouts—including an excellent everyday mascara and a great one you can get at the drugstore.

If the “morning shed” trend hasn’t made it to your social media feed yet, let Wirecutter’s staff writer and beauty expert Hannah Frye get you up to speed: People are heading to bed with all sorts of items stuck to their faces—including a sheet mask that turns clear overnight and promises bright, hydrated, and gloriously dewy skin.

Hannah went into testing a bit skeptical. Sleeping with a full sheet mask on sounded “sticky, uncomfortable, and kind of excessive.” Her verdict after the big morning reveal? Meh.

See you bright and early tomorrow morning for a whole lot of deals.
