When tasked with creating a graphic showcasing Redwire’s flight heritage, Carney faced the challenge of condensing no less than the span of the solar system and a half century of history into a graphic that fits comfortably into a single slide.

Creating a true scale map of the solar system would reduce the planets to mere pinpoints, or take something the size of a dry lake bed.

So, we took a different approach.

For the sake of visual interest and clarity, we hit on the idea of bringing Earth front and center. This was not a case of revoking the Copernican Revolution, but rather an acknowledgement that Redwire HQ is after all right here on Earth.

That makes Earth the center of their flight heritage and the vantage point from which all of us peer out toward the cosmic horizon.

Bringing Earth into the foreground also gave us the… well…the space (pun intended)…to showcase a large number of missions in earth’s neighborhood: climbing the ladder from missions in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) all the way up to Lunar missions.

And since Redwire hardware supported the New Horizons mission, yes, even Pluto got invited to the party.
