Sometimes an ad makes you laugh, and this one got me!

A fun way Mercedes were advertising their strong headlights are, featuring a cow in headlights that's see-through because of them 😂 🐄

Wisdom:

I accomplish about 80% of the goals I set out each year.

I've personally found no better way of doing this than listing out monthly goals every month:

It's not the most mind-blowing formula or anything, just list out the month, write a MAXIMUM of 3 goals, and stick it up on the wall somewhere:

Bonus points if there's some consequence to not hitting those goals. Gives you extra accountability!

Interesting:

Checkout this interview with Mike Feldstein who runs a multi-million dollar single-SKU business selling a high end air purifier called Jaspr (it looks like a giant Alexa):

- They advertise Jaspr by giving them away to health-focused hotels. People need to "feel it to believe it."
- Jaspr got rid of the traditional homepage, just forwards to product page, and got a ~25% boost.
- No YouTube content yet, but they heavily promote creators who make content ABOUT THEM on YouTube.
- There's a gig opportunity for US-based dedicated manufacturing facilities of single SKU products.
- SEO is dying in a way, but being re-birthed as AI is now sending great SEO traffic and making recs directly.

My friend Ramit says his idea of being rich is never having to go to a Home Depot....I'm the total opposite!

I love going to Home Depot and doing home projects. They are very fun and fulfilling to me.

Here's mine from yesterday: Chopping down two trees by my house with a pole saw:

...specifically these trees here as they're close to the house and can accumulate ice and fall during a bad freeze:

I already 100% chopped down two other trees on my property with that same 6" electric pole saw.

You just start cutting down the top of the tree first then make your way allllll the way down.

Cutting down the tree is FUN!

The ANNOYING part is hauling away the excess branches for collection.

Essay:

Images are the human universal language. You can explain a concept with virtually zero words. Here's some examples:

I've noticed more marketing going heavier on explanatory images rather than heavy on copy.
