With post-vacation, post-holidays, post-post-Christmas sales behind her, Dominique Pariso is trying to do an informal little-to-no-buy this January and take the time to enjoy the purchases she made since Black Friday, particularly her Babaà sweaters. “I normally buy a new one each year during their Black Friday or winter sale, and this year (because I’m mildly concerned about possible tariffs), I bought two, growing my collection of Spanish-made knitwear to five pieces.” Also on her mind: a gilded oyster-shaped clutch she spotted at a fancy-schmancy boutique in Northport over the summer and the Belgian Shoes loafers she saw Strategist writer Lauren Ro wearing around the office.
