Writer Bella Druckman has a lengthy love affair with UGGs. They were the de facto shoe of choice for every girl at her middle school, but when the TikTok sirens blared, “UGGs aren’t what they used to be,” she set out on a mission that would mortify her seventh-grade self: finding the very best pair of fuggs.

“My perfect pair of fuggs would be lined with shearling that stays thick and fluffy after regular wear (duh). I’m a traditionalist at heart, so I wanted something that looked like a classic UGG: chestnut colored, medium length, and free of any buttons, bows, or platforms,” she says. After scouring the internet for boots that fit her criteria, she tested five over the past four months and declared two pairs the very best.

MICRO ODE

I love when something does what it’s supposed to do well. These waterproof bags keep wet things contained without leaking. I stuff my kids’ swim stuff into them and can fit a soaked wetsuit and a sopping towel (plus goggles) into them. When I was pumping, I used one for pump parts and would throw the bag into the fridge. They are easy to wash and dry and I would imagine that they would be great for soiled clothes, too. I love all the fun patterns they come in, my favorite being this ocean-life-themed one. —Lauren Ro, writer
