Popular streamer Amouranth got violently attacked in her home by armed intruders specifically targeting her cryptocurrency holdings. The attackers, who pistol-whipped and beat her, demanded access to crypto accounts she had previously showcased on X.

And she wasn't even the only female streamer who got attacked that day!

There aren't a lot of indie hackers streaming on Twitch (or OnlyFans, for that matter), but indie hackers do love sharing their revenue publicly. So it's worth digging into this story as a cautionary tale.

Good news for U.S. indie hackers: you can cross one regulatory burden off your to-do list.

The Treasury Department has suspended enforcement of the Corporate Transparency Act's Beneficial Ownership Information reporting requirements for U.S. citizens and domestic companies.

American founders won't need to file those detailed ownership reports that were originally due by January 2025. While the law itself hasn't been repealed (just paused), it's one less administrative headache for bootstrapped businesses already juggling product development, marketing, and customer support.
