Happy Sunday. St. Patrick’s Day isn’t until tomorrow — but I’m not waiting to make these ridiculously delicious and blissfully easy Lucky Charms Cookies. While they’re cooling, I’ll distract myself with some shopping. On my list? A belted bag (the eye-catching style is “everywhere right now”) and jeans in this underrated yet versatile shade (hint: it’s not blue or black). I’ll also try to copy Leighton Meester’s cropped houndstooth jacket (it’s giving Blair Waldorf energy) and Katie Holmes’s surprisingly chic take on cargo pants. But when it comes to celeb dupes, I must draw the line somewhere — and that’s Dua Lipa’s polarizing “pantaboot.” Is it a shoe? Is it tights? I don’t know, but I can’t.

Every few years, a self-help guru storms the wellness scene with a force so strong, you find yourself reevaluating your entire life (just us??). Enter: Mel Robbins and the wildly popular “Let Them Theory.” The idea is simple: Rather than obsessing over others’ actions, let them make their own choices — so you can focus on what you can control (read: you). Did your partner forget (again) to pick up your dry cleaning? Let them. Did your coworker make a passive-aggressive comment about your morning Diet Coke? Let them. Did your friend leave you off her wedding invite list? Let them. The no-nonsense motivational speaker and podcast host first shared the concept in a May 2023 Instagram post, which was followed by a best-selling book published in December. Since then, it’s had everyone from suburban moms to TikTok influencers in an absolute choke hold. It’s been discussed on countless podcasts — including Chrissy Teigen’s and Taylor Lautner’s — and parodied in hilarious videos, like this one. It’s inspired tattoos and infiltrated home decor (really). Even the Queen of Self-Improvement herself (yes, Oprah) declared it “one of the best self-help books I’ve ever read.”

Naturally, we can’t help but wonder: Why has the two-word phrase struck a major chord? Maybe it’s because in a world where people are feeling burnt out by *gestures broadly at everything*, Robbins is giving unapologetic permission to simply…care less. Or, perhaps it’s because it’s catchy, straightforward, and seems relatively easy. Though, this is probably where we should mention that not everyone is a fan: At least a few coaches have argued the self-help mantra is too simplistic, while other critics have said it’s a bit obvious, particularly for a 300ish-page book. Plus, some have accused the internet’s armchair psychologist du jour of potentially cribbing the phrase from a writer whose poem, “Let Them,” went viral in 2022. In response, Robbins told the New York Post that she had not read the poem, adding: “People can say anything about you — at school, at work, on the internet — and you can’t control it. Let Them.” Sounds like she’s taking her own advice.

There’s only one way to properly introduce a nepo baby these days — and that’s on the runway. Last week, Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber’s daughter, Kai Schreiber, followed in the footsteps of fellow NBMs (that’s nepo baby models) Sunday Rose Kidman Urban and Robert Irwin (aka the son of the late Crocodile Hunter) and made her catwalk debut. During Valentino’s ready-to-wear show, the 16-year-old donned a, shall we say, avant-garde getup (think: an animal-print minidress, a feathered collar, Elton John-coded sunglasses, and a large, lacy headband), earning the seal of approval from Mom and Dad, who shared Proud Parent Instagram Posts, and supermodel royalty Christy Turlington, who commented, “She is beyond … Seriously stunning.” As for what’s next? If we had to guess, sitting front row at shows with Watts (their mommy-and-me fashion is exceptional), more modeling (she’s represented by the same agency as Miranda Kerr and the Hadids), and maybe some acting. In a previous interview, Watts said Kai and her brother had “got the bug.” We wonder where that came from...

File this under Things We Never Thought We’d Say: Apologies to Mr. and Mrs. Smith, but there’s a new incredibly sexy, impeccably dressed spy couple taking over the big screen. In Steven Soderbergh’s Black Bag, Michael Fassbender plays George, a top British intelligence officer at the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre, who is given one week to identify and neutralize a possible mole at the organization. The list of suspects includes: the agency’s in-house therapist (Naomie Harris); George’s second-in-command (Bridgerton’s Regé-Jean Page); a new recruit (Industry’s Marisa Abela) involved with another employee (Tom Burke); and, you guessed it, George’s wife and field agent, Kathryn (Cate Blanchett). Add to that: Pierce Brosnan as the Centre’s big boss, a refreshing run time of 93 minutes (emphasis on 93), and no wonder, in the words of The New York Times, “it’s a banger.”
