Sneakers are getting slimmer — and the latest Adidas shoe, the Taekwondo, has convinced me to dip my toe (literally and figuratively) in the trend. In the past couple of months, I’ve bought Puma Speedcat sneakers and cow-print Adidas Rasants. This week, I added Puma Speedcat Ballet sneakers and Nike’s Air Rifts to my wishlist as well. (Also on my wishlist is this magazine stand from writer Lily Sullivan, who told me where she gets her vintage Chanel. But I digress.) I like that I can replace the look of pointy-toe heels and black boots with sneakers since the slim-toe look paired with pants is something I like. Can they replace Sambas? Doubtful, but who knows.

I’ve heard it will get colder in New York City next week — which is great for me because I haven’t let up on my winter skin-care routine. Until the temps hit 70 degrees, I’ll still be layering on the products. Lately, I’ve been trying out Prequel's new Half & Half Fluid Moisturizer. Like the many milks and glazes on the market, this is a two-in-one moisturizer/serum with a handful of my go-to ingredients: ceramides, peptides, and glycerin. It feels incredible on my skin, like several serums in one. And if you need a new moisturizer, I can’t rave enough about this one from Peter Thomas Roth; it’s hydrating and dries matte.

Byoma’s snail mucin dupe is also on my counter. I was skeptical, but it’s made my skin look and feel so glossy and hydrated sans the snail mucin. For those of you who love your snail mucin essence, it’s on sale at Amazon’s upcoming Spring Sales event. Here are some early deal, including Sony headphones, a Waterpik, and a Dyson vacuum. I have combination skin and after a long day no matter how well my makeup is set, the oily part of that falls right on my forehead and eyelids. So after a long day with a carefully drawn cat-eye, I can usually expect to see it smudged across my lid but that wasn’t the case with this inky liner from Revlon.
