The Forty-Five - Beyoncé and the 'Black Parade' backlash

View this email in your browser
Hello,

Oops, we forgot to do this last week. Did you miss us?

Well, thank heavens we're back because we've got so much to tell you. Joke LOL. Everything's still exactly the same.

A few things have been going on, I guess. We've done loads of great interviews with the likes of Denai Moore, Connie Constance, Arlo Parks and more. We've also had plenty of opinions on new music. Give 'em a read and if you're feeling flush, support The Forty-Five on Patreon.
Subtweets is our new column
The internet is a terribly confusing and exhausting place. People get cross about a thing. Then people get cross about people being cross. Cripes, it's hard to keep up, but Jenessa Williams is going to give it a bloody good try. In her new column, Subtweets, she'll be looking at the topics dominating all your online music chat. This week: the backlash to Beyonce's 'Black Parade'.
TREMORS is our new, new music feature
Every month we're going to shout about a new artist we reckon is gonna be big. First up, it's Leo Bhanji: whose smart lo-fi emo RnB, has gained the attention of record label du jour, Dirty Hit. Here's more about Leo (and listen to his debut EP, 'No Guard'.)
There's a new episode of Trash In The Attic
This week's podcast about the random crap you collect in a lifetime is with Glass Animals' Dave Bayley who really did his homework, arriving in the pod chair with a long list of things to talk about including an udder made of wax, a pot of slime and a tale about a stolen teddy bear. Give it a listen.
It's K-Poppin' off!
Whether you're already a fan, or thinking it's about time you delved into one of the world's biggest scenes, our newly curated playlist of K-pop goodies is one to follow. Updated, every week, by Rhian Daly.
